How To Use
When you light the candle for the first time, burn it until the wax melts over the whole surface and up the sides of the container. This will prevent tunnelling and make sure the candle burns evenly for the rest of its "life." This could take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, but we promise it will make your candle last longer. We suggest trimming your wick before you light it every time. The wick only needs to be about 6 mm long. If you keep it at this length, it won't grow mushrooms, which can cause extra soot. This also controls how big the flame is, so you can make your candle last as long as possible. If soot builds up on the inside of the vessel, put out the flame, let it cool, and then wipe it clean with a damp, clean cloth. Trim the wick and start over. Always make sure the wax pool is clear of wick trimmings, matches, and other junk. Use a candle snuffer to put out the flame, or dip the wick into the melted wax and then straighten it to stop the candle from smoking and keep hot wax from splattering. Don't lose your cool. Open windows and doors will spread the smell and make it less strong. For the best scent, close all the windows and doors and let the candle burn for 30 minutes before entering the room. Keep your candles in a cool, dark, and dry place at all times. Under a glass cloche, scented candles also look great and are protected from dust. You can clean a candle by gently rubbing the surface with a piece of nylon or a soft cloth to get rid of dust and fingerprints. The cloth can be dry or have a little water on it.
